MainStreet Partners, one of the leading ESG Advisory and Portfolio Analytics specialists since 2008, has promoted the first edition of the “ESG Champions” awards with the aim of selecting the “champions” of sustainability from 350 strategies, managed by over 60 international asset managers, assessed through a proprietary rating methodology based on 3 pillars (Company and Management Team, Strategy, Portfolio) and 80 different indicators.

Within the 11 categories of winners, Sycomore Asset Management was recognized as “Best Investment Boutique”, thanks to its focus on promoting new cutting-edge products and the strong commitment to collaborate on engagement campaigns and innovative projects such as the Net Environmental Contribution (NEC) Initiative.

The definition of a rating that considers asset managers, management teams and strategy separately, in addition to the investments in the portfolio, responds in a concrete way to the need – typical of the new SFDR European regulation – to promote a more holistic assessment of asset managers as well as a desire to counteract as much as possible the risk of “greenwashing” in investment products.
